Saturday afternoon before her evening performance at Telling Moments Theater storyteller Judith Black led a work-shop, Heart to Heart. I happily hosted it at our home.
Judith established a playful relaxed atmosphere as she shared bits of wisdom, storytelling techniques and some of her own stories with the group.
Hearing her tell the new 4 minute story that recently won the MASS MOUTH Story Slam was
a real treat. Its a surprising and touching story. Afterwards she used the story to illustrate a few points about how you establish a connection with the audience through your stories.
Our Saturday group - black-haired Judith near the center - bought an interesting mix of stories to the table.
Three hours was hardly enough - its merely an introduction to the value of working with Judith Black.
