1. A huge silver moon hanging low in the dark sky.
2. A box of goodies arrives for Jim from my sister, Kathy. Warm hugs.
3. Eating Lance peanut butter cheese crackers while drinking a diet coca cola. The tastes blend for memories - particularly of many lunches at Central High School when those crackers and a coke were my top choice for lunch.

You are both in my heart and prayers. I've been listening to your lovely CDs, and humming "Second Hand Rose" to myself now. I can't help but wonder if the photo Granny Sue posted is of the famously recognizable jacket you mentioned in the thrift store story. . .
I was touched by the comment about feeling as if we invented ourselves and then discovering our mothers' influence on our choices. Oh yeah!!
Big hugs to both of you!!
No, the jacket in the story, purchased at the LaTienda Thrift Shop in Fresno, CA - is even more garish - - - and wonderful. The one in the picture was a lucky find in a thrift stores in Concord, NC - when we went to visit Mama. Whenever I wear it I think of her - although she would not have been caught out of the house in such a thing.
