The first time Jim looked into my brown eyes 

with his deep blue,
intense and

smiling eyes                                                                        

my knees went weak and my heart melted. 

58 and a half years later

When I looked into Jim's blue eyes 

he suddenly could not see me 

and my heart broke 

as my world crumbled beneath my feet.
