Fun Movies :
During the last month - between the public library and Netflix I have picked some off-beat movies - just because I don't know better.
If you consider Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen a sacred text - stop now.

Lost in Austen - an entertaining flick about a 21st century young woman who steps through a cabinet door in her bathroom and changes place with Miss Elizabeth Bennett, the heroine of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. While Lizzie Bennett explores the marvels of 21st century London Amanda Price joins the Bennett family and stirs the plot for amusing twists - none to the liking of Mrs. Bennett.

Bride and Prejudice - a Bollywood adaptation that really requires a sense of humor. After the initial shock - I thought it was fun.

Bend It Like Beckham - I first saw this movie where a British girl of a Punjabi family wants to play professional soccer on an airplane at 35, 000 feet. I was glad to see it on the library shelf because I wanted to see it again. It is a delightful film with a young Keira Knightly as the chum and Jonathan Rhys Meyers as the love interest before these two were powerful box office.

Poor little Jane....it gets much worse!

There is also a book out there supposedly selling quite well titled "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" where Lizzie staves off hoards of zombies invading the countryside.

Check it out - it has such a lovely cover also! :)
