This is not "the wild" - this is my neighborhood - a block from my house.
They crossed slowly right in front of our car yesterday as Jim and I drove home. We stopped and watched as they lazily wandered into a neighbor's yard - searching for snacks.
Its not a novelty - we have lots of deer around - but I still stop for a close encounter.
