This is a lovely quilt. Do you happen to know it's maker and it's history? As a quilter I am always curious about these things.

Hi, June.
Thanks for your comment. I am a professional artist as well as a storyteller. My primary art form is collage using paper and fabric. This textile piece is one of my pieces. It has been exhibited in the Washington, DC area, hangs in my den and has been given to my daughter, Karen. When I make these "cockeyed" log cabin squares I use scraps of old clothes which I collect from my closet to thrift shops. I work spontaneously - with little pre-planning - my interest is in creating satisfying color compostions.
