Wednesday - About Storytelling

This time last year we were on our way to Williamsburg for the Storytelling Festival. No Festival this year but there is talk on the streets of Williamsburg about the stoytelling coming up Saturday, Sepember 19 - Donald Davis, Kim Weitkamp and others. check it out. September is a lovely time to mix stories and history in Willliamsburg. Sorry we will not be there this year.

While they are telling stories in Williamsburg Susannah Holstein, Katie Ross and I will be telling Tall Tales at the Appalachian Festival Saturday the 19th in Frostburg, MD where its all about celerbating Applachian Culture and Heritage. It is going to be a rich and full day of music and crafts and then topped off that evening by Jean Ritchie - icon of folk music - in concert. I am looking forward to a visit with Susannah aka Granny Sue.

Jim and I are staying over in Frostburg so that we will have just a short drive to Hagerstown, MD next morning. At 2 Pm I am telling Pushing Boundaries - the story of my journey with the Equal Right Amendment.
Its all on my website: http://www.ellouisestory.com/

Thinking ahead.
October 1 Jim and I will head South to Jonesborough for the National Storytelling Festival. Here is one of the treats I will be looking for along the way.

So much fun! Meeting people and telling stories!
