Ready to Serve 
is a true story is drawn from the experiences of Maryland nurses who served in France -
1917 - 1919, with the Johns Hopkins Base Hospital 18. Using this letters I have created a monologue from to
tell the nurses' little known experiences.

While caring for serious battle injuries and the damages
of deadly gas, they faced unexpected personal discomforts and relentless harsh weather,
 but they kept their spirits up by encouraging each other and their patients with laughter and warm friendship.

The United States entered the Great War in 1917. 2017 is the Centennial observance
